Went for the first time a couple weeks ago. As a woman I was very comfortable going in there alone. It was like your small town neighborhood bar. Will go back for sure.

Very low-key and laid back - a great little neighborhood bar with pool tables, a dance floor, live music on the weekends, and a very friendly staff!

I visit DSM on a regular basis, and stay near the airport. I found this little "hole in the wall" bar one night, and I keep returning.
It is not fancy by any means, just a friendly, local neighborhood bar; which, in itself, is rare these days.
Definitely worth a visit when in Des Moines.
