I ate there Thursday Oct 15 and had the prime rib which was very good. tender and flavorful, served exactly at the temperature I rodered, medium rare. The vegetables were a little over cooked, but the mashed potatos and stout were good. The service was a little off, the guy was apologetic but pretty drifty. Kind of cramped dining room, servers would keep bumping you as they walked by, because of ther tight quarters. Overall, worth the visit. Prices were acceptable for a downtown restaurant in a metro market.

Been a while -- but every trip tp Des Moines will include a meal here. Great
food at reasonable prices. Planning a Sat evening trip from Iowa City with no plans but to spent an evening here
