Fish and Chips were to die for. Probably the best I‘ve had in the states. Nice cozy atmosphere.

Quit going a few years back because of the smoke. I‘ll be back after the smoking laws change on July 1.

This place is amazing had some great food and the bloody marys are out of this world,Guinness splash who woulda thought. Pattys day with all the bagpipers... Awesome be back soon from Oregon

Great selection of drinks, especially English/Irish. Atmosphere is awesome.

Good bar, good atmosphere, good selection of drinks. Never tried the food -- but people tell me it‘s good too. By the way, love the smoky atmosphere. Don‘t you hate these phony ‘Too much smoke‘ comments? It‘s a bar idiots! Order for takeout you communists.

Our favorite place to eat. Food is fantastic. My husband is a beer freak and has been able to try something new every time we eat there. If the smoke bothers you, try going upstairs.

Yes this place is smoky, but it also have the best fish and chips in the city. Try finding hand-pulled Fuller‘s anywhere else in the midwest. I love this bar!

It‘s my home away from home. It‘s like Cheers...everyone knows your name and the bartenders know what i drink. What would I would without the Mile in my life? Thanks guys.

If you love second-hand smoke this is the bar for you. Get some-smoke eaters guys your place is awful!!!!

Bartender attempted to charge for "doubles" on all the drinks on our groups tab. When we asked about this, he was very rude and defensive stating we received two shots in all of our mixed drinks (which were in very small glasses and very weak) and that we would pay for them. Earlier in the night had paid 1/2 for the same drink. Truly believe he was double charging and pockecting the extra. Do not recommend.

bartender was very unaccomodating, too dark and crowd was a little to gay for my tastes.

Very welcoming crowd. Love the bar staff - they know beer and how to keep it flowing. The only place to be in Des Moines.

An eclectically vibrant place to sit back, enjoy some drinks w/ friends, and relax. None of that cheesy, psudo club scene like the West Des Moines bars scene. Just a cool place w/ laid back people, in a laid back atmosphere.
