This place rocks, whoever says different is crazy. The owner is the nicest guy I have ever met, and he cares what the customers think...all of them. He knows what he is doing obviously, and the no drugs policy makes it even better and safer for all. A+

The wife and i went to the Minx and had a blast, Heleigy was amazeing with us. The club was not over crowded which was nice there were some delays with girls in between songs some longer than others but was not to bad, they only had 9 girls working they could have had more but they were all worth the 4 hr drive to come see :)

This is the best strip club in town, a club with some class. The owner is a cool and picky guy, the facility is really clean, the bouncers are really nice, bathrooms are very clean, and the variety of girls is at an all time high. Its a no pressure club. Highly recommended. There are really no negatives. The private rooms are the best in town or the whole state and the rates are quite reasonable. Finally, yes, you will see some drama because of what it is, not a bad thing at all, mostly subtle. Hope you have a great time at the Minx. Mike, the manager, is just a cool guy just like the owner.

I think that the Minx Show Palace well the name sounds better then the people who work there and operate the place. I danced there for a short period of time and I think it‘s just awful. They can try and bring in whoever they want, but I hope this place get‘s shut the fuck down. In the short amount of time working there I realized how coked out some of the dancers were, or severe drinking problems really sad. Then the manager try‘s to pretend he is a nice guy and offers to pay for shoes,clothes, I dunno that kinda just rubbed me the wrong way. If your going into this line of work nothing is for free and just know that. The house fee‘s are expensive and we have to charage so much for VIP and only get 20.00. Alright if you wanna promote first class then do first class business.

The Minx is very laid back compared to the other clubs in the Des Moines area, which suits my tastes exactly. The dancers also let me touch them, something that other clubs don‘t allow, I enjoyed my experience and would go back to the Minx before I went anywhere else.

This place is a joke. I‘m sure the majority of the positive comments are from employees. Bouncers are real jerks and the girls aren‘t the nicest. Wouldn‘t go here again if it was the only joint in town.

i used to work at the minx not as a striper either as a janitor and cashier at there store. i do not recommend this club or store to anyone. for starters there stripers are old and ugly and not very nice and neither is the management they treat all employees bad and customers unless u got a lot of money and they no it. the store is very overpriced and most of there product has been sitting on there shelves since it opened if that tells you how much business the store gets it all gose toward the arcade in which my opinon is the most discusting thing there is when we first got there and had to clean it it seemed like it hadnt been cleaned in god i dont no how long. any way im warning you i dont recommend going there if your life depended on. if you dont beleive me read some of the other post.

This place was a blast. The dancers were beautiful AND could actually hold a conversation for more than 15 seconds before asking for a private dance! The doormen were even cool. I recommend this place to anyone, although I‘m told 21 and up is the norm, but not the law. I got the impression rowdy, drunk, party animals were not welcome here. This is a place to relax and have fun!

this place is pretty solid if you happen to swing by on a weeknight. been there about 3 times. One was a weekend and was pretty lame. the other two were during the week and were solid.

This place is a rip off in the most literal way. I caught a girl picking my pocket and when I brought it to mgt.s attention, they kicked me out. WTF!

Will never step in that place ever again, waited 5 songs before any girls were out dancing, when we left we asked for our money back and they laughed.

Minx has continued to be the classiest and most friendly club that offers a healthy variety of adult entertainment. Cleanest club in town.

There were 4 of us (1 guy 3 girls)decided we were closer to the Minx so we went there, and we were told that all of us needed male escorts to get in WTF?! What kind of discrimination is that? I had been there several times before and had no problems. We ended up having a great time at the Lumberyard and I will never go back to the Minx. Not only is it a bogus rule to have a male escort but the bouncer was a jerk who couldn‘t care less.

went for the first time mon the 27 . for a mon night ,it was very nice. found out this is not a place to party,but instead great place to hang out. was very impressed on the clientel that frequented the place. and the women were fabulous. also very impressed with the security, felt safe , also did not have to worry about the wrong people ruining my night!

When I went to the Minx there where four of use 2 girls 2 guys, I was one of the girls. Before we went in the bouncers did act like it bothered them that people were coming in, they were rude about how they told us that you can‘t wear head wear and that they don‘t allow cell phones with camera‘s (understandable), they did not check our cell phones but they did let us know. When inside they have a great set up, with three poles, only one was being used, salt water fish tanks and there was enough light you could see (unlike Big Earls). The girls interacted with people and they were attractive girls for the most part.

I do have to say that out of all the gentlemens clubs in Des Moines The Minx Show Palace is by far the best!!! The girs are friendly, beautiful and the Sky Booth kicks ass!!! Be prepaired to have a great time.

Bouncers really had a attitude. I can see why I was told not to go there. Only had 2 girls that were good out of the bunch. Nice building and layout in side. Just that the employes all sucked, acted lilke they didnt care if you were there or not. I wont go again or recommend it to anyone.

i think that the minx was a complete piece of shit. you get patted down at the bar forr phones. i had a phone on me that had a camera and was turned away with my 10 friends and was not allowed in. i easily volunteered to put the phone in my car but the douche bag bouncer was a little bitch. When i called the bar to ask about this, the guy on the phone said i probably was not admitted because i was with more then three people, adn this is a high class gentlemen‘s club. Sounds like a whore house to e. They wont let in 10 guys with four cars in the parking lot. I would never recommend this bar to anymone. If you ever feel like stopping by , you should go home and slit your neck, it would be much more pleasureable.

I was there on Sat the 12th and had a great time, beautiful girls, good atmosphere. I had a private dance Shalee, she is absolutely fantastic and beautiful and really put on a great show.

This was our first time at the Minx. It was Great! My wife and I went together. She has never been to a strip club. The girls were very nice and respectful. Very Hot Girls. A new addition was a Girl named Venus. She‘s wonderful. Very cute and pleasant to be with. As long as she‘s there we‘ll be regulars. If your wife is shy and you want to get her to a strip joint this is it! Don‘t miss it.

Tonight was the first night my buddies and I went to the Minx establishment. The first comment made was the pat down at the door got me harder than the women. Besides one stunning blonde and one Mexi-asian with a great body the rest were not that great exept for the one with the extra skin hanging from her anus, my friend is a doctor and seemed to be turned on by this. Definitely paid more attention to their regulars; need more lights near the stage and less in the sitting area - a bit bright! Guess we appreciate our entertainment to be ultra sexy with a touch of naughty. In the end, we found the fish in the aquarium behind the stage to have more sexy, sultry moves than the girls themselves. So on to the Beach Girls we went . . .

Always have a great time at the Minx! The girls are all hot and not pushy either they like to talk and make u feel good the dj Mitch even gets things goen ! Went last night for the first time. Unbelievable! Terry is a tall thin blonde with the nicest body I‘ve seen on stage and the personality of an absolute angel. I spent about 15 songs with her in the private dance area and it was worth pretty much any amount of money due to her interaction and personality (I know, I can‘t believe I said that either but it is true). I will be back to see her the next time she is in town dancing......bet on it!! I‘ve been to all of the clubs in Des Moines and nothing has compared to my experience here. The ONLY downside is that the security is quite aggressive and take no sh#@. They were, however, very professional and reasonably courteous. They protect the girls and did not detract from the overall experience

This is by far one of the best gentlemen clubs in the midwest. The women are beautiful and physically fit (not like the skanky meth head girls at the lumberyard). The clientel is upperclass- a lot of professionals. You can carry your own beer and sit back and relax. The ladies will actually sit down and talk with you rather than the first words out of their mouth "do you want a private dance". There were a couple of gals there who were especially drop dead georgeous- Misty and J.C. However, most others are top notch as well. Mitch the DJ was great and fun. Whenever I return to Des Moines I will definitely stop in... I encourage all others to do the same.

Nice place. The girls are hot and reasonably freindly. They pay more attention to their regulars than anybody else. You can get a good private lap dance that will make you sqirm. Take plenty of money and be prepared to wait a bit.

I found the Minx by accident, and let me tell you, it was the best accident I have ever had. Great place to kick back. You can actually hear the conversation you are having, and don‘t have to listen to a bunch of under aged delinquents. The girls are great!!!!! They are very easy on the eyes, and have personality beyond any I have experienced at other clubs around the US. It‘s BYOB which is cool, and the staff is great. I know my next time in Des Moines is definately going to call for a trip to the Minx.

Minx continues to be a very decent place to hang out and for some reason remains free from the riffraf and the juveniles...this is how a club should be run, safe, clean, and friendly...it is possible to improve by bringing in some new dancers but the owners are probably more picky in staffing...since they are not "pushy" like at other clubs, it is possible to sit and relax even when things are slow...the set and the setting are comfortable and the VIP areas are very nice although their regular dance rooms are also much better than any competing clubs around here...highly recommended for those who like decent adult entertainment without being taken advantage of.

Clean place, good parking, good ambiance, music depends on DJ on a given day, awesome clean girls, no obvious signs of drugs like at some other places, VIP room five stars, they run a lil cooler temp so take a jacket...girls are pretty and not pushy...a civil place without pressure...no juveniles but a lil older crowd to themselves...good ventilation...clean bathrooms...friendly staff...overall a FIVE STAR club...check it out, NO rip-off as at other clubs...FMJ

Hey Everybody I just want to say WOW I just heard about these new places that have opened up on Des Moines Northeast side to which I used to hang out at before moving to Minnesota and DJing at a local strip club up here called the Garden Of Eden. I am going to have to come back home to check these places out.

Slightly better than the Lumberyard. Only one stage was cookin‘ on a Saturday night. I saw a few naughty Minx ladies perform. One was exceptionaly naughty on stage, sucked my finger, displayed her goodies and rubbed her hot bod around my face...I would have liked to get a private dance from her but we decided to go back to Beach Girls!

The private dances are awesome! The women are hot. Most will give an awesome show for a tip and let you feel them up.
